I am here to help. During our appointments, we’ll talk about your thoughts, feelings, challenges, hopes, and dreams. I’ll help you make strides towards achieving your goals, accepting yourself, reducing stress, and tolerating the ups and downs of being a teen. I’ll teach you coping skills to help you better manage and regulate your emotions. I also offer training in mindfulness techniques, which will help you better focus, perform, and enjoy the here and now.
It is often important for me to collaborate with your parents and sometimes, even with your teachers and guidance counselors, so that we can all help you to overcome and to thrive. It is particularly important for me to do so, when cultural factors may be contributing to your struggles. Before talking to your parents and school staff, I will always ask for your thoughts and feedback, so that we can be on the same page and ensure your confidentiality.
